A Little Change!

I hope you enjoy looking at my quilts! I have made a slight change in how I “brand” them. I now have the ability to put my logo on each picture instead of typing it out. For Christmas I received Adobe Photoshop Elements, and I must say I love the new look!

There are more changes happening too…in less than a month I will be getting married! :) I’m super excited! So a new last name is fast approaching!

2013 Quilt #1

111_1516This beautiful pink and gray quilt isn’t made of t-shirts, but was made with lots of love! This is my niece’s birthday present. She got a new “big girl” bed and needed something made especially for her! (By the way, she’s only 3!)

111_1517I know she will enjoy this quilt for many years to come! The pattern is called Piece of Cake 3. You can check it out here: http://thimbleblossoms.bigcartel.com/product/piece-of-cake-3-pattern-150-paper-pattern

2012 Quilt #17 and #18

I made these two quilts for my brother and nephew. They aren’t quite t-shirt quilts, but they were made with love just in time for Christmas!

12-001 The quilt on the left is a large quilt with red flannel backing. The quilt on the right is a little bigger than a lap quilt with super cozy brown backing. They both have custom personalized tags too! I hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas!

2012 Quilt #16

111_1446-001I was able to make this quilt for a fellow HLG Alumni. She included t-shirts and momentous from elementary school, high school, and collage. I know she will enjoy this cozy blanket all winter! :)

2012 Quilt #15

111_1436-001I was honored to make this t-shirt quilt for a close family friend. She worked for months to sneak and steal her son’s t-shirts for this surprise quilt! Wesley I hope you don’t mind having your shirts cut up. :)

2012 Quilt #14

A couple of years ago I was asked by my sister to donate a gift certificate for a t-shirt quilt to Monsanto’s United Way auction. I of course did, and this quilt is the result!

Kate will be enjoying this cozy quilt at Mizzou and for many years to come!

Quilt #12 and #13

I was honored to make these two quilts for a special friend and her family. Each quilt is a little different but the overall style is the same  for both.

I hope these quilts will be a good reminder of Meme’s love that is flowing down from heaven.

2012 Quilt #11

My “little sister” Jessie graduated from high school this May. Her gift from us was a quilt….that is made 100% from FFA shirts! Jessie brought over 4 bags of t-shirts (this is only 1 bag)!!! She has a lot to show from her 4 years in FFA. My only hope is that she makes just as many memories in the next chapter of her life! Best of luck at Mizzou!

July has FLOWN by!

Wow July was a really quick month! :) After finishing my May and June quilts I took a little break from quilting. I still spent plenty of time sewing but none of it was quilts. I made several things for my 2nd Grade classroom including; pendent banners, pillows, pillow covers, chair pockets, and a pocket chart!

However, now that my classroom is ready I am back in the quilting business! I have  finished 1 quilt that I will be delivering this week (pics to follow). I have 2 other quilts at various stages of production and 2 bag/boxes of shirts! Whew! I am going to be one busy girl! :) Oh and school starts in 1 week!

I have a new addition to my quilting and sewing room….a Grace Quilting frame. I’m not a pro by any means but I think my 1st quilt turned out good! :) Every time I use it a learn something new. I look forward to it being 2nd nature!

Check back soon for new pictures of my quilting adventures! :)

2011-2012 Hand-Print Quilt

My 2011-2012 Hand-Print Quilt! I went out on a limb this year and did this quilt a little differently than my others. I think it turned out great. The best part is you can see a little bit of each student’s personality shine through in their monster.
